Maine may be known for its lobster; but so is New Brunswick — especially the town of Shediac, which is known as the Lobster Capital of the World and even sports a concrete and steel sculpture of a giant lobster which is claimed to be the largest lobster in the world — so we decided to dine at Lobster Deck.

We decided to order one lobster roll platter and split it, as neither of us were crazy about the components of a traditional lobster roll.
As the weather was nice outside, we chose to dine out on the covered outdoor patio.
We sat at the table next to the giant red lobster on the wall.
I picked up the tray with the food when our number was called.

The lobster itself was tender and flavorful and not chewy. I personally was not crazy about the buttered split roll itself, which is typically used for a traditional lobster roll. I would have rather had the lobster simply by itself. The French fries were good; but I did not care for the peel of the potato that was left on the ends of each French fry. The cole slaw was good but not the best that I have ever had.
Final Boarding Call
I recommend the lobster roll at Lobster Deck. It was delicious and filling when accompanied with the French fries. I am not an aficionado of lobster rolls in general — I had one in New England once before in my life — and it is generally not a food for which I would crave, as I do not particularly care for the buttered split roll and slathered with mayonnaise. However, the lobster roll was better than we expected.
The total cost of the lobster roll platter and two sodas was $41.30, which was $29.83 in United States dollars.
