If you are unsure as to the best ways of photographing the solar eclipse, information in the aforementioned article includes researching the best locations; bringing the proper equipment; getting creative with your photography — and even using your smartphone or other portable electronic device if you do not have the ideal equipment.
Using a tripod is almost a requirement for getting the best photographs of the total solar eclipse.
Final Boarding Call
Start planning your travel as soon as possible if you are interested in seeing the total solar eclipse on Monday, August 2 2027 in northern Africa and the southwestern tip of the Arabian peninsula, as lodging will be more difficult to reserve. You might even want to consider taking a cruise ship or boat out into the eastern Atlantic Ocean, the southern Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, or the western Indian Ocean; but those vessels will surely reach capacity quickly as well. Be prepared to do a lot of driving if you remain on land.
Ensure that you are equipped with the proper glasses or filters for viewing it — and check the weather.
If you have the opportunity to see a total solar eclipse in person, do whatever you can to see it. Not everyone will be amazed by it; but I was.
