Uber is introducing Zipcar to Uber Rent and will offer hourly rental car reservations directly through its mobile software application program on portable electronic devices. Uber One members get ten percent Uber Cash back on all Uber Rent reservations — including Zipcar — and the first 1,500 Zipcar renters on Uber will get an additional $20.00 in Uber credits back.
Uber to Offer Hourly Rental Car Reservations With Zipcar — and Deals Are Available…
This news offers a new way to rent cars on Uber for short everyday trips — such as for running errands, embarking on day trips, or if you just need a motor vehicle for a few hours. All you need to do is:
- Open Rent in the Uber mobile software application program
- Enter when you need a car
- Browse available Zipcars nearby — rentals can be from one hour to 14 days, with reservations available from one hour before the trip
- Choose a Zipcar through seamless integration
- Review the vehicle and rental details
- Complete the required identity verification
- Book your reservation and pay through Uber, as no separate Zipcar membership is required
- Head to your Zipcar and unlock it using your portable electronic device and get on the road
- Return the vehicle at the end of your reservation in which fuel is included.

Car Delivery Expanded
Uber Rent is also expanding its rental car delivery service to Nashville and Jacksonville, saving even more people a trip to the rental lot by delivering a vehicle right to their home, office, or hotel.
- When your rental car is headed to you, you will receive a notification in the mobile software application program. Check the car for damage, give the driver the safety PIN from the mobile software application program, and you will be on your way.
- Easy to return: When your rental is over, a driver will pick up the car from you at the time and location indicated in your reservation.
