Why I Decided to GoWild! With Frontier Airlines.

The reasons are listed below in this article.

Despite listing ten reasons for not participating in this promotion back in 2023, I decided to GoWild! with Frontier Airlines this year with the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass and completed my purchase earlier today, Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Initially touted in this article which was published here at The Gate With Brian Cohen on Monday, November 7, 2022, the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass from Frontier Airlines can supposedly turn your flexible schedule into unlimited travel. At that time, $599.00 was the discounted price of the standard retail and renewal price of $1,999.00 per year…

…but this year, the cost of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass is only $299.00 — and it is valid immediately for approximately 17 months through Friday, April 30, 2027, which means access to:

  • An unlimited number of flights
  • Domestic and international destinations which are served by Frontier Airlines
  • Confirmed tickets the day before flight departure for domestic travel
  • Confirmed tickets ten days before flight departure for international travel
  • Plan ahead and book select flights early: simply search and choose GoWild! when available — but a GoWild! early booking charge may apply
  • Earn Miles on all GoWild! eligible purchases — plus, use your elite status for free bags and seat assignments

Approximately five million seats flew empty with Frontier Airlines in the year 2022 — so instead of them flying empty again, Frontier Airlines has been offering the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass since Spring of 2023.

The Differences Between Then and Now

Although few people might actually derive full value from the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass from Frontier Airlines for the following ten reasons, the changes between the current offer and the initial offer in 2023 are listed below:

  1. The GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass can be used immediately instead of not being able to use it for almost six months after purchase — so the airline was able to keep your money free of charge until then
  2. Each flight cannot be booked or confirmed until the day prior to departure — but international flights can now be booked and confirmed until ten days prior to departure
  3. Flights and seats are subject to availability; and last seat availability is not guaranteed
  4. Access is available to all destinations — whereas in 2023, the only available destinations were within the United States and Puerto Rico, as international destinations were not included
  5. Frontier Miles now can be earned on eligible flights — whereas in 2023, neither miles nor elite status could be earned, as travel with the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass was not eligible for either
  6. Applicable taxes, fees, and other charges are not included
  7. A fare of one extra cent per flight segment booked will be charged
  8. Although travel can still be customized, no extra items — such as seat assignments or baggage allowances as two of many examples — are included, as they are available at an extra cost, which is still true if you do not have elite status
  9. Blackout days preclude passengers from traveling at the most popular times of the year — including:
    4. The blackout dates for the original offer were as follows:
      1. 2023: May 25, 26, 29; June 29, 30; July 1-5, 8, 9; August 31; September 1, 4; October 5, 6, 9; November 18, 22, 24-27; December 16, 17, 22-24, 26-31;
      2. 2024: January 1, 15; February 15, 16, 19; March 3, 10, 15-17, 22-24, 29-31; April 5-7, 12-14. Blackout dates for May 2024 and beyond will be posted in advance of accepting any enrollments for pass periods which cover those dates.
  10. The GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass will be automatically renewed for the following year and successive terms of one year thereafter — and a charge of $699.00 instead of $1,999.00 will apply

Other details of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass from Frontier Airlines include:

  • Flights must be booked at flyfrontier.com
  • You must be a member of the FRONTIER Miles membership program
  • Travel qualifies as activity and will extend the expiration of FRONTIER Miles
  • The GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass cannot be transferred, as the pass holder is the only allowed passenger to travel with GoWild! Pass privileges

You must be very flexible with travel, as the return trip — or the next segment to a different destination — cannot be booked far in advance, which means that if the flight segment you want is not available, either an alternate flight segment must be booked or travel must be delayed until at least the next day.

Additional terms, conditions, and restrictions apply.

I initially advised in the aforementioned article in 2023 that unless you are willing to deal with all of the terms, conditions, limitations, and restrictions of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass from Frontier Airlines — and even then, many of them are out of your control — do not purchase this pass. You may likely be better off taking advantage of the low airfare sales which Frontier Airlines regularly promotes, which might actually save you money over the $599.00 needed to purchase this pass…

…but as this pass costs only $299.00 for approximately 17 months, the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass could easily pay for itself — and if this does not work for me, $299.00 is not going to bankrupt me.

Sweetening the deal is that I upgraded to Gold elite status with Frontier Airlines for only $69.00; so I will not have to worry about paying extra for bags and seat assignments. I applied for the elite status upgrade prior to the offer for the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass; so the timing on my part was serendipitous. Unfortunately, the status upgrade offer has now expired — otherwise, I would impart it to you so that you could take advantage of it as well.

When I wrote “who knows what will happen to holders of the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass during irregular operations. I shudder at the very thought”, that still holds true — but this time, I am willing to take my chances.

You can read about my experiences with Frontier Airlines through the following articles:

I have flown as a passenger with Frontier Airlines since those two articles. The airplanes in the fleet are typically newer models; they are clean; and I have personally experienced a better on-time performance with the airline.

If you are interested in spending $299.00 for the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass from Frontier Airlines, you only have until tomorrow, Friday, September 12, 2025 to take advantage of this offer.
