The cost for a gallon of gasoline in the United States continues to decrease as a result of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic; and an increasing number of states have fuel stations which are selling gasoline at prices which have not been seen in years…

…but where can you find gasoline for less than 90 cents per gallon?

Where Can You Find Gasoline for Less Than 90 Cents Per Gallon in the United States?

You can find gasoline at less than 90 cents per gallon at the time this article was written — according to GasBuddy.com — at the following fuel stations:

    • 87 cents per gallon at Exxon in Cumberland, Virginia
    • 89 cents per gallon at CITGO in Cumberland, Virginia
    • 89 cents per gallon at Central Auto in Clay, Kentucky

Even if you cannot find that low of a price per gallon of gasoline right now, some states are seeing fuel stations with prices of gasoline which are currently 99 cents per gallon or less — such as in:

The last time the average price for a gallon of gasoline was 86 cents per gallon was back in 1986 — the year before the stock market crashed — according to this article from the Vehicle Technologies Office of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy of the United States.

By the way, if you still miss paying expensive prices for a gallon of gasoline, head on over to California, where at least two fuel stations are currently charging $4.79 per gallon.

As for the last time the price of a gallon of gasoline in the United States was as low as 87 cents per gallon — well…that is still being researched; but I would guess at least 20 years.
