I finally purchased my first GoWild! ticket with Frontier Airlines after I purchased the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly annual pass from the airline last year and getting a lot of international travel — including to that pesky continent known as Antarctica — out of the way.
I Finally Purchased My First GoWild! Ticket With Frontier Airlines.
The total cost of the one-way ticket was $15.41, which included:
- $5.60 — United States Passenger Security Fee
- $4.50 — Passenger Facility Charge
- $5.30 — United States Domestic Flight Segment Tax
- $0.01 — The cost of the base fare of the flight itself
I chose the seat that I wanted in advance at no extra charge because I currently have Gold elite status in the Frontier Miles membership program, which also allows me to carry a bag aboard the airplane at no extra charge. I am also in Zone 1 to board the airplane.
Final Boarding Call
You might be wondering where I am heading. I will be traveling to Buffalo in New York. That may not sound glamorous; but I am partaking on a road trip in both the northeastern United States and southeastern Canada. I rented a hybrid car for two weeks to help save money on fuel…
…and because the flight will occur prior to Memorial Day in the United States to a location where no one is exactly clamoring to go, getting the ticket was rather easy. Flexibility is one of the factors in helping to ensure that purchasing a GoWild! ticket is a success.
I intend to report more on my experience. Please stay tuned…
