Seeing a power plant at night while driving on a rural highway in Georgia during a bitterly cold January evening gave me an opportunity to photograph what I thought were some rather eerie pictures.
Trivia time: This power plant is one of the largest coal-fired power plants in North America. 26,000 gallons per minute of water or 37 million gallons per day of water is lost to evaporation, which creates the distinctive white clouds rising from each tower as shown in the photographs above.
