The Great Lawn Holiday Lights at Civic Center Park is only one of a number of illuminated celebrations of the holiday season in Denver — and when I was in what is also known as the Mile High City back in December of 2020, I was treated to the sight of the building which houses the City Council of Denver being bathed with red and green lights…

…and the signs greeted visitors Merry Christmas, Peace on Earth, and Happy New Year.
Civic Center Park — which was lightly covered with a layer of snow — has fountains, trees, statues, and even a Greek amphitheater…
…and in the opposite direction is the building of the state capitol of Colorado, with its dome plated in gold.

No admission fee is required to visit Civic Center Park in Denver, which is located between West Colfax Avenue, Bannock Street, West 14 Avenue, and North Broadway.
