This storm is one of the ones that adversely affected California.

If the midwestern and central regions of the United States are in your travel plans over the next few of days or so, you may want to consider delaying your travel — or, at least, keep yourself updated as to the latest information pertaining to the weather — due to the latest winter weather system which is forecast to bring significant amounts of snow to parts of the region.

Travel Alert January 2023: Winter Storm to Affect Midwestern and Central United States

The following statement is currently posted at the official Internet web site of the National Weather Service of the United States:

More Precipitation For Saturated California; Coastal Storm Affecting Parts Of New England

One last moist storm system will impact parts of California today with locally heavy rain, mountain snow and gusty winds, before the system moves into the Southwestern U.S. on Tuesday and becomes a multi-hazard winter storm by midweek in the Central U.S. A large storm will remain well offshore of the East Coast today but frozen precipitation is expected in Maine and parts of New England.

The map of the United States from the National Weather Service indicates that winter storm warnings, winter storm watches, and winter weather advisories have been issued from northeastern California to as far south as southern Arizona all the way to western Iowa and western Minnesota.
