YOTEL Club Will Wind Down; Fast Track to Elite Status in Hilton Honors Unlocked

You will also be able to book reservations and earn and redeem points as a member of Hilton Honors on July 15.

The YOTEL Club membership program will wind down effective as of Wednesday, July 15, 2026 as the result of an exclusive agreement with YOTEL becoming the first independent brand to participate in the global distribution platform of Hilton under the Select by Hilton umbrella of affiliated brands; and also on that day, members of the Hilton Honors membership program will be able to book reservations for stays at participating YOTEL properties that will participate in Hilton Honors and offer members the ability to earn and redeem points and enjoy access to instant benefits.

YOTEL Club Will Wind Down; Fast Track to Elite Status in Hilton Honors Unlocked

If you are an existing member of YOTEL Club, you will be invited to join the Hilton Honors membership program through tailored offers based on your previous stay history with YOTEL — including a fast track to elite status as YOTEL guests will either enjoy instantly or through accelerated paths towards Hilton Honors elite status, which will give incoming members immediate recognition and the ability to enjoy the benefits of Hilton Honors.

Select YOTEL properties will begin transitioning into the Hilton portfolio in the coming weeks, with most hotel properties expected to complete the move by early September of 2026. To further support this transition, Hilton Honors will be rolling out a targeted set of offers designed to recognize and reward the loyal guests of YOTEL.

Communications to YOTEL Club members — which are already being sent — provide additional details on their personalized offers and the transition to the Hilton Honors membership program.

Final Boarding Call

Over the years, I had considered staying in a YOTEL at least twice because each time, a YOTEL property was located inside of an airport terminal — but despite a reputation of supposedly being a low-cost lodging option with very small rooms, the room rates at the YOTEL properties at those airport locations were too expensive and outweighed the convenience, in my opinion.

Now that YOTEL will participate in the Hilton Honors membership program, perhaps I will look into staying at one — and when that happens, I will write an article about my experience here at The Gate With Brian Cohen.
