Redhead in Brisbane. Sunday Morning Photograph.

The result was tree-mendous.

I spotted a redhead in Brisbane, as the woman was in the process of taking a photograph in City Botanic Gardens in this city in Australia.

I like the composition of the photograph itself; but I wondered what it would look like if I isolated the hair and converted the rest of the photograph to black and white.

That changed the image; but I liked that, too. The textures of the trunks and branches of the trees seem more pronounced — similarly to the red hair of the woman, which became more of a focal point.

Trivia time: City Botanic Gardens is the oldest heritage garden in the state of Queensland.
