What Is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 295

Guessing what I did would be a waste.

For this edition of this popular game, can you guess what you believe is wrong — or, at least, seemingly quite bizarre — with this photograph part 295?

For the first time, I actually purposely contributed something to what is wrong with this photograph — it is likely obvious to you, as I incorporated my bizarre sense of humor — but other things are wrong with this photograph as well, which was taken aboard a Boeing 737 airplane that was operated by Qantas Airways.

Answer to What is Wrong With This Photograph? Part 294

a taxi fare calculator
Source: IHG Hotels & Resorts.

I received an e-mail message prior to my stay at the InterContinental Sydney hotel pertaining to transportation to and from the airport; and I immediately noticed that the word calculator was spelled incorrectly as caculator.

My stay was excellent, which I intend to report in a future article.

Favorite answer by Jim F.: “Is either the hotel property or the airport so sprawling as to result in such a broad range of possible taxi charges? Presumably (since the email was generated by the Intercontinental Sydney) the ‘location’ (either destination or origin) other than the airport for all recipients of this communication is the hotel itself, so what sense does ‘…depending on…your specific location’ make?”

Favorite comment by derek: “So the email is not a welcome because, at the end, they say that they look forward to welcoming you.

“Sydney airport has 2 terminals on opposite sides of a runway so it figures that the taxi fare would vary depending on which terminal you get on when going to the hotel.”

  1. What is really wrong is, in this modern age, seat backs should have screens that display a moving map, entertainment, etc. What is wrong with this photo is the label says “literature only” but waste is not literature.

Oddly, one of the previous passengers might be trying to get into medical school and is trying to remember human anatomy. Sadly, they have a long way to go if they have to write down parts, such as neck, chest, stomach, in addition to writing down leg twice to remember that humans have 2 legs, not 3 or 6. However, when studying, we have to start somewhere!!!

  2. OK, I’m confused…which really doesn’t take much. The second paragraph states that this photo “…was taken aboard a Boeing 737 airplane that was operated by Qantas Airways.” But just to the right of the QR code are instructions to “…visit aainflight.com….”

    1. You got me there in a rare error with this series, Jim F.. You are correct.

That photograph was taken aboard an airplane that was operated by American Airlines and not by Qantas Airways.

Most of the photographs I take are with my camera; but some of them are taken with my smartphone, which means that those few photographs are out of sequence — and sometimes the sequence numbers of both devices get quite close. This was one of those photographs. I should have taken more care to catch that.

More was wrong than I realized. You have a really sharp eye!
