While I was walking on Tyynenmerenkatu in Helsinki on my way to the terminal where the vessel which operates as the ferry to Estonia was scheduled to depart, I spotted an unusual sculpture out of the corner of my eye which is located across the street just north of the terminal.
Helsinki Has One of the Ugliest Sculptures I Have Ever Seen.

I just stared at it, thinking that it is one of the ugliest sculptures I have ever seen — and I earned my undergraduate degree in art school; so I have seen more than my fair share of sculptures.

Apparently, this bad boy is called — well — Bad Bad Boy by Tommi Toija; and it clocks in at approximately 8.5 meters tall. The air was apparently too cold for any liquid to emanate from the genitalia of the sculpture — although I am not sure the owners of nearby vehicles would appreciate that.
It was located just down the street from this unusual hotel…

…known as the Clarion Hotel Helsinki.
Final Boarding Call
I suppose the sculpture is fun in its own way — but I still think that it is ugly…
