Flying in an airplane over the United States can reveal some very interesting shapes. The twists and turns of roads and highways with their sprawling interchanges; the meandering of rivers; the shapes of lakes; the structures of cities and towns; and — in this case — the fields somewhere over Iowa which apparently are used for farming are only five of endless examples.
Fields Somewhere Over Iowa. Sunday Morning Photograph.

I was not sure as to why the dark lines etched into the land were so squiggly. The patterns they formed were quite interesting, in my opinion.

The occasional farmhouse and silo here and a lone road there helped to add to the amalgam of the otherwise seemingly controlled chaotic landscape below.

Final Boarding Call
I cannot tell you exactly where in Iowa these photographs were taken — nor did I particularly care during the moment on that day. I do not even know exactly what was planted on the land — or the reason why whatever was planted was planted. If you know, please post your thoughts in the Comments section below, as I would be more than happy to read about it.
